Jerry Malitz

ANC 3G-05 Commissioner

I knew of Stacy by name and reputation only until I was able to get a first-hand look at her engagement and passion for education and health issues as a key member of the ANC's Task Force on Racism. Seeing how well she works with people and how she is able to dissect problems with a focus on solutions is inspiring. And her immediate and enthusiastic support and commitment to Chevy Chase's pursuit of a Main Street grant is the type of help our business community especially needs right now. These attributes of Stacy's allows me to be energized in looking forward to how she will be an engaged and fresh voice as a Commissioner representing 3/4G-04.

Katie Burke

Co-Chair, Lafayette Gives Back

Stacy's tireless efforts in her role as Co-Chair of Lafayette Gives Back, our school's community service program, have expanded the breadth of the organization's activities. She most recently facilitated the donation and delivery of over 2,000 books for families to stock their home libraries at the beginning of this virtual school term. Stacy never shies from a challenge, and brings an ambitious vision, thoughtful approach, and eagerness to collaborate with others on everything she does. Stacy's knowledgeable, empathetic and effective leadership style will be a tremendous asset to our Advisory Neighborhood Commission.

U.S. Congresswoman

Rosa L. DeLauro

Stacy Beck served as my Press Secretary and remains a dear friend. She has had an impressive career since she left my office: in private law practice fighting Big Tobacco and defending our campaign finance laws, and now as a communications consultant and professional photographer. She is smart, thoughtful, an extremely hard worker, a fighter on behalf of children and schools, and would be a terrific and hardworking Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner.

former General Counsel

Truth Initiative

As a long-time Chevy Chase resident and both a former colleague and client of Stacy's, I can say unequivocally that she would be an outstanding ANC Commissioner.  Stacy is deeply rooted in this community, dedicated to our public schools, hard-working, and an indefatigable advocate.  With years of experience as an attorney and small business owner, Stacy knows how to make things happen. She also knows how to pursue her goals with civility and collegiality.  Stacy is not part of the old guard and will be the fresh voice that Chevy Chase needs.

Former Board Member,

Lafayette HSA

I first met Stacy Beck more than twenty years ago when she worked on Capitol Hill, fighting for children and families. I was struck then as I am today, by her intelligence, her drive, and most importantly her kindness and her empathy. Over the years, Stacy and I have worked closely together on a number of community causes. Whether it's serving on the HSA , organizing a book and coat drive for schools and students in other parts of the city, or promoting Cap City Little League, she is the first to offer to help and her help is invaluable. A skilled listener, a careful researcher, a tireless advocate, and a kind and wonderful mother and friend,  Stacy Beck would be a tremendous ANC Commissioner and a powerful voice for our community.

If you don't know Stacy Beck, how have you missed her? With three kids in DC schools, all of whom went through, and are going through, Lafayette, active participation in local sports leagues and through civic engagement from the school level to national politics, Stacy is there, always coming through. It is possible that you missed her because she is behind the lens of her camera or working behind the scenes to make a difference. If you want a workhorse rather than a showhorse, Stacy is your woman!
